We have learned that when dealing with complex topics, verbal communication can cause more confusion. For this reason, it has become our policy that all communication be in writing (letter or email) so that patients and our service center can reread and review what has been said efficiently and in a timely manner. Since our therapy is international, this policy is particularly important where patients are not speaking in their native tongue. If you do not get a reply within 48 hours, please report your lack of response to Berkeley (510) 250 5990. This number cannot give you any medical information but someone will telephone you if you leave your number.
When you wish to transmit copies of previous x-ray reports and lab studies, we would prefer that you have those reports scanned and their digital files be attached to your email. The reason for this is that many of our doctors involved in consulting on a case are all over the world and attached emails can be easily forwarded to all of them. If there is a reason why something must be faxed, please contact us by email.
If you have a simple question, or you are writing for a friend or a loved one without having details of their cancer, you can write us at email@example.com.
